"When I asked Missy to be my doula, I didn’t really know what that meant. She was my friend, and she was beyond excited for me, and I knew I wanted her support during the pregnancy. I’m so glad I asked her; she was a bright spot in my difficult pregnancy. She learned more about me, my needs, my preferences, and what I wanted for the birth of my twins. It was always so easy to talk to her because ANYthing I wanted, she supported.
My baby girls arrived in the world early at 33 weeks. Missy was there with me from the onset of labor through their birth (c-section over 2 days later). I’m sure she went home to sleep, but I remember her being there everyday, all day, through the whole journey! She was my advocate, making sure was I relaxed and felt loved.
She will always be “Aunt Missy” to my girls, Lorelei and Marilla, who are now thriving, healthy, smart, and caring 2-year-olds!"

"Missy was a fantastic support for me and my husband before and during the birth of our first baby. She helped us research topics we had questions about and helped us practice relaxation techniques (breathing, positioning, massage, aromatherapy, music therapy, etc.) before he was born. During my labor, Missy worked as a team with my husband to help keep me relaxed and focused. With their help, I was able to have the labor and delivery that I had hoped for and I felt like superwoman!"
